As a helper you will be notified via push notifications when a Subject’s status or status note changes. Buzzzie understands that this could lead to unwanted notifications, so in order to reduce the amount, buzzzie only pushes ones that it considers important.

As standard buzzzie will send a notification when a Subject enters or leaves a geofenced location if the Subject has granted you permission to know this.

Buzzzie will also notify the helper when the Subject’s status changes between Green, Amber and Red.

Buzzzie will send a notification each hour the Subject is in an Amber state up to a maximum of 2 hours. When the Subject enters a Red state, buzzzie will send a notification to the helper every 30 minutes whilst the Subject is in a Red state up to a maximum of 2 hours. After which the notifications will continue once per hour to a maximum of 4 hours, then reduce to once per 2 hours for a maximum of 6 hours. After that buzzzie will stop sending notifications until the Subject’s state changes to Green.

Subject state notifications are hard coded and cannot be muted by the helper as this defeats the purpose of buzzzie.

There are a number of intermediate status notifications that buzzzie can notify a helper on. These are when the status note of a Subject changes to something significantly different to the previous state. These may look similar to “Mary is Driving” or “Mary is Walking” or “Mary is Active” etc.

The helper can choose to silence intermediate notifications for each Subject if they wish.
